Is my car screwing with me?

Ok...

So I go to my car after class and I start my car and it's choking and acting like it was flooded. No big deal, crank the gas for 30-40 secs and it's fine...like new. So I go to gas station to refill and I realize for some bizarre reason my gastank door will not lock when I lock the car. Then, to my amazement, when I unlock the trunk, both front doors unlock as well. This has never happened with my car; usually unlocking the trunk only unlocks the trunk and nothing else. Frustrated and upset that my gas tank door no longer locks I give up, fill gas, go get lunch and go back to school. Once I reach school and try to figure out what the hell's going on, everything returns to the way it always was. I slap myself several times just to make sure I was not having a dream....I was not. WTF???

And my question: should all doors open when I unlock the trunk? (not with a remote, but ratrher unlock the trunk with a key).

Baffled, Sean

Hey Sean,

years ago when we had an "older" model (but still cool now :) 325is, our trunk lock controlled the entire central locking system.

You have not noticed this before?? On our 325 both the trunk and the driver side lock controlled the central locking system (but the passenger lock only controlled the passenger side).

Don't know about you gas tank flap, but the trunk issue seems fine!!! Hope you have no more snafus!!!

deutsch100-
My passenger door lock and the driver's side door controls the entire central locking system. My trunk, however, does not. I did for about two minutes today, but that's it. Has not done it since. Whatever, I give up...maybe it was a dream. lol.

The same with mine. My driver and passenger door locks control everything, even double lock the doors, while my trunk only unlocks/locks the trunk. I would think it is working properly since everything else would just not make any sense what so ever.
