M6 Paint Problem Nightmare

I have a 2006 M6 with 5,000 miles on it. I recieved the car in the beginging of June and all was perfect. About 2 months later i noticed a round bubling spot appear on the drivers side door near the window. The paint felt perfectly smooth so it appeared to be something under the clear coat. This small patch of bubbling could not be felt. I proceeded to inspect the rest of the car and noticed a similar patch on the hood. I immediatly made an appointment with Fields BMW in Northfield, IL.

Upon bringing in the vehicle for inspection i was told Jerry (the service manager who could authorize anything related to paint and body) was not in yet. One of the other service managers proceeded to inspect it and said it wasnt bought from them and to wait for Jerry. I came back another day when Jerry was in who looked over the car and thought it could be waxed/buffed out. He had one of the porters try to do this on the spot and said it would need to be worked on further and to leave it with them for them to take it to their body shop to have it done. They apparently buffed the entire car and upon return the spots were not noticeable.

About a week to two later the spots reappeared. I was washing the car when it occured and ended up scratching the hood by dropping the hose(ouch). Rather then leave the hood scratched and wait for BMW's resolution to the spots i proceeded to my body shop to have it repaired at my expense.

The repairs the body shop performed were near the same spot on the hood and thus it was also repaired with repainting.

I followed up with bmw who had the person from the Regional Office come out, Jeff Lance. Jeff Lance came out originally and agreed that it appeared to be a problem in the paint and he would talk to the office to see if they had a resolution for it. He followed up with me later that day and said it was a known problem in the clear coat and it needed to be repaired with a hot water bath. Upon talking to several of my own body shops they said this would not correct it. I finally scheduled with Fields to ahve it taken to their body shop for this hot water bath which would correct these spots as BMW said the clear was not fully dry(something i was also told by my bodyshop). Upon taking it to the bodyshop, Glenview Auto Body, the owner inspected the car and said hot water would not remove these spots and the only way to remove them would be to repaint it. He said he would follow up with Jeff Lance of BMWNA and they would contact me.

Two weeks later i was finally called back by Jerry from Fields BMW and was told that he recieved a call from Jeff Lance and there was nothing they could do to correct the issue. I said this was unacceptable an dhe said to call Jeff directly. I proceeeded to call Jeff Lance and he explained he wanted to have BMW's paint and body expert from NJ look at the problems in my paint. He said that the person was Jeff Kohut and he was moving to our area in a few weeks so he could look at it after he moved.
Jeff Kohut and Jeff Lance came to look at the car and Jeff immediatly said it was a problem in the base coat of the paint and repainting it would be neccessary and BMW would do this. By this time, a third area(trunk lid) had a similar spot/stain under the clear coat. They agreeded to repaint /repair the area after the winter as i was going to be storing the car.

Upon talking to several dealerships and bodyshops i was advised not to have the car repainted as it would not be factory paint and would also diminish the value of the car.

Upon relaying this information to Jeff Kohut and subsequently Jeff Lance. Jeff Lance said BMW stands behind their cars and the only thing they are willing to do is repaint the affected areas. The repair procedure they want to use does not even repaint the entire panels but just the small area where the spotting occurs. They have refused to provide any kind of replacement vehicle or credit for the diminished value that their repair procedure would cause as they said this is not something they offer in the central region.

Please let me know what you all think. Attached is a letter indicating what they want to do with the vehicle.
