Hey guys, here is my issue, if you have any ideas, please let me know.

My 93 325is detonates (clicking sound) when it is around 2000 to 2500 rpms, i have already taken it to the shop, when i was there we hooked it up to the diagnostic machine, it said i had 1 Kinock sensor out, so i had them both replaced, thinking that this would solve my issue, I took it out of the shop and drove around for a while, yet it still did it, I took it back, and they took out my Dinan chip and placed in a stock chip, thinking maybe it messed up the timing, It seemed to decrease a bit, but still happens, It seems to happen after I have driven the car around for a bit and it gets warmed up, then it starts happening

I took it back to the mechanics and they said, since you cannot hear it in the cab, I wouldnt worry about it until you do, I flat out do not want it to Detonate at all, any ideas on any other reason this may be happening will be greatly appreciated, it is giving me a head ache

Thanks,
Ben [?|]

its probably a valve sound, not a detonation sound. I wouldnt worry about it -- its 11 years old and isnt going to be the quietest thing around. If it DOES bother you, then take the valve cover off (not sure how easy/hard it is on your engine vs. mine) and make sure everything clean.
