Ever heard this one before?
On my 93' 325i I'm getting a metal to metal ticking/knocking sound from the back of the transmission around the gearshift linkage. It only happens when the car is in motion. It is very hard to feel it in 1st gear as the sound gets louder and faster with increased speed. The transmission shifts fine and this still happens when I take the car out of gear and just roll at 20+mph. You can really feel it on the shift lever and shift console but I'm not sure if that is where the problem starts.I'm just throwing this out there but could it be the flex disc? The car was perfect last night but when I got in it this morning it did it right away, this just didn't start while I was driving. A little odd to me [???1] . I hope someone can help, thanks guys!!
