Naviagation System????

Who here has the navigation system??? Does it give you listings that are in the system or do you have to know your specific destination??

It does not have preset destinations. You can enter and save any destinations you go to often though. The navigation is great. I just got my 330i a few weeks ago and the navigation has already helped me on 2 different occasions. I am so glad I opted for it. It's very simple to use, once you read the directions...

Okay, thanks!!! I know the Acura has listings of restaurants, parks, banks, and other things like that pre-set on the navigation system.

BMW is sort of behind in terms of features for their Nav System. My FX45's system is way better than the one on my M3.

The BMW navigation system does have preloaded destinations. You have to go to information on destination, and then choose the type of destination you are looking for (restaurant, atm, whatever). It's all in the manual.

Didn't BMW upgrade their system since the previous 3 series? It would seem that 4 years later the new model would get a better unit. I really am curious as to how caught up BMW has gotten in the navigation dept.

I wasn't impressed with the Nav system. For $500, you can get a go-anywhere hand held GPS.
