Does anyone have a 2006 530I with sport package??
If so does anyone know what their tire pressures are set at or should be set at for 1 person riding in the car?
I know the panel says 29F:36R, but usuing the BMW digital tire gauge, those pressures do not seem right. IS the gauge just not good?
In fact i took it to two dealrers inLA and both set it at something different, including 34F:35R. but neither felt "great". maybethere is just something wrong witht he car??
I appreciate your help, whoever answers :)

Hi there,

Did you check your owners manual? It is not uncommon for the manual two specify two different tire pressure recommendations (usually one for "Normal Load" and another for "Max Load"). If you are going after a smoother ride, follow the regular or "Normal Load" recommendation. If you are going after better performance, follow the "Max Load" recommendation.

If you are unsure about your vehicle's tire pressure gauge, you can go to KMart or something and pickup a nice analog tire pressure gauge for cheap. I am a fan of the analog pressure gauges because they are instant, simple, and accurate.

Dear Mister Elussive,

I have thought about that, thanks. i will probably try it soon. It just that the dealer always puts something that mkes absolutely no sense like 30F:33R...so i wonder if all cars are like that, so picky about tire pressure, is it just BMW or is it becuase of low profile tires?
