I bought one off eBay and did it myself. Relatively easy, but very time comsuming. I also eliminated that junk headliner when I did it and have noticed no ill effects or noises.

Good Luck

I paid $350 for a new one. I got prices locally for a new one installed from $1200 all the way to $3800. So I figured I couldnt screw it up that bad. There are a few vendors on there that sell them.

I think you could probably get one installed for about $1500.

Good luck

Mine is a Sonnedeck German unit. It is like a duck, the water just rolls off. It beads up just like nicely waxed paint. We origionally had a Green on Green car. I never liked it, but the price was right. We replaced it with a black one.

Most shops would not touch it unless we replaced the straps and headliner too. My straps were in excellent condition at 92k and I removed the headliner. The installation took my wife and I about 4 hours total. And were were not exactly working hard. The top fit perfect and the hardest part was trying not to get the spray 3M glue on everything. So I would guess that anyone that can put a top on a car should be able to do it.

Just do not let them adjust anything!!! The top mechanisms and motors are very finicky and hard to adjust. I tried to adjust my boot about 1/2" and it took me about 4 weeks to fix what I screwed up and just get it back to the way it was before. THis is a job best left for an expert.

Good luck. I love my new top. Now I am looking for a black interior to swap over the tan. It gets filthy with the top down all the time.

One solution for the dirty interior is the convertible car cover that Bavarian Automotive sells. It's about $90 and goes on very easily. I use mine when I'm leaving the car for a couple of hours or more. It will not keep it dry during a downpour, but will work in a quick drizzle. The best thing is it keeps the tree sap, the bird droppings, and other stuff off the interior. It also keeps the seats and steering wheel very cool. When not in use, it rolls up easily and stays in the trunk. Give it a look.

Have you got a website for them? Is it like a tonneau cover?

I think the fact that I drive the car everywhere, top down, makes it worse than just the car sitting top down. I would like to see this cover though.

Thanks
John
