Oil service and micro filter

Has any one got an oil change and micro filter from the dealership, I called them and was told it would be $168 total does that sound about right. or would it be okay to have it done at express oil place for about $80.

I would never use a Jiffy Lube, Express Oil or other "fast food" chain. Take it to an independent BMW shop or do it yourself. Synthetic oil (Mobil 1) runs about $5.00 a quart, plus $5.00 for a filter and it is an easy job. I do my own for about $50.00.

Well were can you get the filter for $5 and how about changing the mircro filter, and to you have to have a tool to get the oil filter.

Arizona AutoHaus, a BMWBoard Sponsor has the filters for $5.69 for your car, and the cabin filter for as low as $15.00.

No special tools are needed for an oil change, Pelican Parts has a great DIY article. I thnk this may be a guide for your cabin filter, not sure as I do not own an E46.
