AC Schnitzer or Dinan
When i got my car back in october, it already had a Dinan chip in it, but my car had issues with detination ( i cry) so i brought it in to the mechanics, we put it on the diaognostic machine, it said one knock sensor was dead, so i replaced both ($550.00 ouch) that did not solve the knocking, he thought it could be the Dinan chip in the DME, so i got a blank chip and the reprogrammed it back to stock specifications... now my e36 has a stock chip, I did not think i would notice much difference in power, WITH the chip it had a noticable diffrence in top end (4500 rpm plus, much more "pull") yet seemed slower off the line... with the stock chip, it seems a little quicker from the start...
So i decided to put back in a proformance chip. My car has an AC Schnitzer cat back and a ACS over bumper front and rear body kit with side skirt, (I think type II)
so i want to go all ACSchnitzer, and keep the dinan chip out, what are your opinions on ACS vs Dinan?
also car still detinates but only slightly between 2100-2450 rpms, I run 91 octane, and will continue to place Cleaner with each full tank (incase it is carbon).
