Powdercoating is the way to go, just a hastle and requires an oven. I like the paint method without removal....cheap ghetto mod, but powdercoating is the best method. You can buy kits to do it yourself.....just make sure you do not use your oven as it will stink for a long time.[;)]

I agree, but since I do not auto X, the stock brakes work pretty well with my 190HP. Massive brakes on my car are overkill for looks alone. Now, if I had alot of expensive engine work....than might need some big calipers and rotors to take care of busniess.[;)]

where do they sell powercoating kits?
Do a search on the web, most muscle car places sell them all the time. Powdercoating hot rods is pretty old school for engine and undercarrage parts. In the us, shops will powdercoat, polish, and chrome about anything......just depends on how deep your pockets are. Doing it yourself is a pain in the you know what unless you have an oven in the garage....not the one you cook in....trust me. If you take off most engine parts, you can send them in and have someone do it for you. Then you have a down time problem though, some ask for cores as returns. Just my opinion, unless it is a SHOW CAR....do not waste the time and effort. Paint it with just regular ENGINE ENAMEL....high temp paint....just the same as overpriced caliper paint....all the same, high temp paint. This car is not the first I have painted the calipers on. Jack the car up, remove each rim, mask and paint. 3 bucks for a can, works great, or remove them. Most brake places I have been told will paint them for you when changing the pads if you bring the paint at no charge, they have it taken apart anyway.....[thumb]

If you want to be REAL different, jack the car up, remove each rim, take a Dremmel tool and polish the calipers. Seal the polish with Zap.[;)]
