Price Of 2000 M3?

Hi, Guys,
Been looking at M3s and have noticed a big difference in price between 2002 and 2000!

2002s and 2001s , go for around 40K give or take a few bucks. 2000 M3s are around 18K-20K!

Why the big difference? I/m new to the 3 series so I'm not to sure of the difference in the 3 years. Thanks Bob

93 HP is the difference in the 2000's and the 2001's and on......

2000 m3's are the old body style i believe

They didn't make M3s in 2000. The person probably means 99 and it is the old E36 body style.

I'm not sure why they didn't make E46 M3s in 2000. Also, they didn't make the E36 M3 until 1995 even though the E36 line came out in 1992. I'm guessing BMW wanted to work out any issues with the standard line before they introduced the M3 series.
