Problem with E36 1994 with 125K on it, Today i pulled into my garage and as im pulling in, i hear this tick tick tick tick (real fast) and its coming from the engine compartment, any of you know what it is, secondly I have upraded my car audio system since the original's suck, Now after only playing it for 4 months my interior lights and headlightsblink really fast but if im going up a hill they start blinking slow and slower and then it speeds up again to where its real fast and u cant even tell anymore, I got my alternator and my batter checked and they said both were good, so i don't know what could be casusing the blinking anymore (I unscrewed the 4 gauge amp wire from the battery, so the amps are no longer drawing power from the battery but yet my lights still blink) Any of you know what could be the problem, I went to a car audio store and autozone and they said installing 2 800+ amped deep cycle batteries would cure the problem, but over time, wouldn't that just Blow my alternator? Please write back and i was thinking of upgrading my alternator from the 80 amp to the 325is 140 amp into my 318i,w would i be able to sync them? here is a list of the audio i have hooked up........
