I was surprised for the price, these look real nice! No check light problems, 3 min install. I really hope these things do not friggin leak though.....

Will post some pics when I get the chance. The orange just did not flow with the color of the car.

Hey, they were only a bit over 100 bucks, look alot nicer than the faded and broken stock ones....now....just if they do not friggin leak like alot of aftermarket ones.[:(!]

Yeah, the pics of the lights - But not of the lights installed in his car. That's what he was talking about.
Sorry, have not had time to take the pics but finally got one of the light installed from a good corner view so you can see it at an angle also. Plus shows a bit of the chrome deck trim.

I like it....do not plan on changing the turn signal bulbs though.

Also shot of the new wheelskin from the side....talk about a pain in the ass to install...but I like it, and yea, a stitch from the side looks screwed up, but damned if I was going to do that over again..also shows the steering wheel emblem I ghetto put on and the Kenwood Z828 MP3 player head unit that replaced the crappy stock BMW one.

Last pic.....the Infinity BassLink 10" powered sub in the rear....great bass for the car, even with a convert like mine, plus, easy to remove if I need space, not like a convert really has any. These pics are just to give people ideas. I like the car the way I made it. Next step is some nice angel eyes....and a decent set of BMW floor mats.[thumb]

By the way, the wheelskin steering wheel cover looks alot better in person, talk about a nightmare installing though.[:(!]

As far as the lights.....hey...100 bucks, guess have to wait and see if they leak, replaced the stock broken ones with the partial melted contacts....but still have them as a backup. If you look close, you can see the broken HVAC middle rung, guess I need some superglue.[;)]

Well, had a nice heavy rain today for a while, so far no leaks or fogging that are typical with most aftermarket tail lights. So far I am loving them[thumb] Just wanted to give you all an update.[;)]

Carcus,

I like the lights - they look classy. Alot like the E46 tailights. Very nice upgrade!
Thanks jrt67ss350, they really do look like the newer lights, just not LED. The wheelskin is starting to grow on me, still makes me mad I missed a stitch, but alot better over the worn wheel. Now, just waiting for the income tax refund to come back so I can get some new angel eye head lights and turn signals, the clear ones I have now on the front for the corner lights get moisture in them. How is the SS treating you?

So it is like saying; "hey the chrome on that car is bling bling, but before he washed and polished it sure was not bling bling." Or, "hey those new chrome rims are bling bling." [:D]

I am going to use bling bling at work tomorrow, we have some younger mechanics and I will see what they say. Probably something like "hey old man, even though I am not, you just don't get the bling bling." [rofl]

How do you get a worn steering wheel in a 97 car with less than 50k miles on, it's like 46k, right carcus? I'm almost up to 100k and the odometer started rolling in 95 and the steering wheel looks almost brand spanking new. BTW did you rip the old leather off or no, because in my dad's car, the leather is coming off too, he bought this thing that goes on top of the wheel and now the wheel is so thick it's uncomfortable.

Got a 98 5.9 Grand Cherokee that has a steering wheel with a worn top steering wheel. My wifes vehicle. She swears that she doesn't grip the wheel there. I know i do however. But with only 58K miles, i think it is a vendor error purchased by Chrysler.

My 96 328I's steering wheel looks new. So Go figure.

Cheers,

I have 71K miles on the car, the feel to the leather was just nasty so decided to spruce things up.
