I am an idiot!! I bought a 94 325 without knowing the radio code, I changed the battery only to find I needed it......no problem I called my local dealer who told me to look at the side of radio. I did, only to find the sticker had been removed or fallen off. This is a problem, is there ANY way to find out my code??? How many codes can there possibly be?? ANY IDEAS ANYBODY????AHHH THIS BMW PURCHASE HAS NOT WORKED OUT WELL, I know you guys know everything there is to know, this my last place to turn. If I can not make it work, I have a perfectly good 6 disk factory changer for sale, since I have been told it will not work with an aftermarket deck. Thanks for the time

i think if you go to the dealer with proof that you are the owner, they should give it to you. btw, it has to be the car's OE stereo...

dont worry you can get it. call this guy and tell him that you need the code for your factory stereo, he will need the serial number on the back of the unit, so you will have to pull it out and get the number first. he might make you show proof of ownership, so you might end up faxing him some information to prive that....but i told him my serial number, and he gave me the code right away. AFTER you get the code. leave the key in the ignition for about an hour. the stereo might need to reset if the code doesnt work right awy. thats what mine had to do. left the key in the ignition so power was at the unit, then a hour later i went back and punched it in, and booyah.

Bill Jacobs BMW, the number is 630-718-2862, Marc Zolnierowicz will probably answer the phone. Ask him for the code. Odds are he'll give it to you right away on the phone.

here is the problem, I have tried that, My radio had two white sticker- type things. One of them had two sets of number. One was the model number the other was another longer all number "number" as in- no letters......I called and they told me to look at the side of the radio for a rectangular sticker that would have the right numbers....when I looked, I found a place where a sticker USED to be. I could feel the old glue and see where it was to go. Thus, I dont have the stereos serial number or this "radio code" that tehy appearently need......any other advice?

I had the same problem when I bought my 318Is. I called up the dealer and they told me to bring the car in. When I took it there, he removed the radio and then called a mechanic to my car. After about 20 minutes, he came to me and told me that the radio is OE, however the serial number is missing. He then told me that they submitted my VIN to someone to get the radio code. It took like two days, but I eventually got it!!! Take your car to the dealer and see what they say. Good luck.
