Hello to everyone who reads this.
I have a question regarding cost.
How much should I expect to pay for a new bearing job on my 1994 325i rear tires?
They said for both tires should take about 4 1/2 hrs and a quote of $463.00
Is that abouut right? or am I getting screwed?
Thanks for any comments

That sounds about right. The bearings are pressed in the trailing arm. To do the job, the axle shafts and the brake componentsmust be removed. The bearing is then replaced in the trailing arm, and everything is reassembled.

Yep, I agree with Kirby - $460 sounds about right for both sides. I got several quotes for rear wheel bearing replacements on my e30 a couple of years back and they ranged between $400 - $500 at independent shops. It's a pain to change them, and the guys at the shop HATE doing this job.

I've heard the E36 rear wheel bearings are WORLDS easier than the e30's. Still not easy though. Fortunately, it seems as if wheel bearings isn't a common repair item on BMW's. I know wheel bearing replacement is just expected after xx number of miles on my parent's cars.
