replacing the windshield

i'm looking into buying another car now that i've sold my 3 series but the car that i've come across has some noticeable stars on the windshield. how much would it cost to replace the windshield and is it worth it? i've heard of some people having problems with replacement windshields but i'm not too sure.

i replaced my rear windshield when some punk shot it and broke the entire thing. i got it done for $220 and no problems at all so far (its been 5 months). I heard front windshield is even cheaper for around $160 or something.

I had Safelite Auto Glass repair the windshield on my 535i and had no problems. They even replaced all of the stickers that were on the old one and did it in the parking lot at work.
