just bought a 4 door 93 325i with 170k on it, runs perfect just tuned it all up with basically all new external components(plugs filters gaskets thermo etc etc) when i bought it the passenger window and the left rear window didn't work but drivers and right rear as well as sunroof worked, now the just recently all went out on me. went throught all the basic steps of fuses, as well as switching bad window switch with good and everthing checked out. started to check wiring and found that the sunroof fuse wasn't getting power to it at all so problem must be between main power and fuse box, right? but windows get power at all switches around manual shifter and at the back two switches. we checked the lines to find short but found the lines give around 8 volts instead of constant 12 is that not enough to run window motor. so could it be a freak occurence with switches going bad at these random times or could it be that it's losing voltage somewhere between fuse box and switches. HELP im not all that knowledgable in electric problems.
