Tire rotation? Yes or No?

I know BMW advises against tire rotation. What are your opinions on the matter?

I do not rotate my tires. Can not on the roadster, fronts and rears are different sizes and directional (I am not going to have them taken off and remounted) I have been told that all rotating does is cause all the tires to wear out at about the same time.

my tread is directional as well (i think), even so i don't think i'd rotate cause my rears are bald
