I have a 1993 325I with a manual transmission. When the car is in gear and at a low rev range (2K or so) there is a grinding coming from somewhere in the transmission. Once the car is revving higher the grinding doesn't occur at all. My mechanic seems to think the 'transmission pinion seal' is leaking which is causing the problem. Have any of you experienced this problem? What could be the cause? Thanks in advance for any help.
