I have always ran synthetic in my 95 325ic for the three years that I have owned it, just had it in for service, oil change was done with regular oil not synthetic, when I got home and reviewed the bill, I realized regular oil was used, when I called mechanic he said I did not specify but that it would not matter. any thoughts?

As long as they did not charge you for the synthetic nothing is wrong. It is fine to run dino oil in your car. Next time just remember to use synthetic if that is your preference. Your car is fine, just change the oil again at 3K.
