Anyone have this problem ??

New brake rotors , front shocks/struts , new Michelin MXV4 Plus tires , 5 tire balances , including 'road-force' balance. I've been told the wheels are round & true. Had 'guibo' turned 90* on advice of BMW call-centre , to 'balance' drivetrain.

The shimmy occurs at 60 MPH & up. It feels as though it is coming up through the seats , and in steering wheel a bit. Annoying as hell.

Any ideas ???

Thanks ![confused]

BMW dealer has checked the suspension for tightness , etc. , and cannot seem to find any cause of this 'ghost shimmy'. But , I might add , they are still consulting with BMW engineers and using the process of elimination first. They started with the wheel & tires , and tried to balance the driveshft.

I have installed new rotors on the front ; the steering wheel does not shake with braking.

I have also tried another set of wheels & tires on the car , but the shake/shimmy is still there.

Thanks for your replies and interest .... much appreciated !
