Warning Error Light Detail

Does anyone know what an error dash light on a 93 318 is that looks like an exclaimation point (i.e. an "!") imbedded within a circle? It came on briefly then went away while driving this morning.

I am sans an owners manual and curious what this code reflects.

Transmission error light from the TCM (Transmission Control Module). Did it drive any different? Might want to check for an exact code if it does it again. Could have just been a glitch, if it stays on get it checked out though.

Indicator light for transmission control module.

Lights goes out after engine has started. If the indicator stays on or comes on during normal vehicle operation the transmission control module or the gearbox has fail. the unit provides enhanced performance by selecting and mainting 3rd gear when the vehicle is stopped, the engine switched off and ten on again. Should tis happen, avoid exttreme engine loads and consults the nearest BMW dealer/maintenance shop.


Brake fluid level indicator

Lamp goes out after engine has startered. If the light comes on while driving: The brake fuid level is too low.
