warranty and modifications

I own a 2004 325i Sport package Manual and I was wondering if I added an aftermarket catback if it would void my warranty? Say like i buy and Eisenmann, Supersprint, Remus.?

They have to prove your mod caused the failure to deny warranty. Since you're in Cali, there are tons of dealers around you. If one gives you unnecessary grief, just go to another one. To ease your mind, if you add a cat, and something electrical or some trim fails, they most likely won't give you any grief. If your engine or exhaust goes, then you'll have to fight them.

Does anyone have an aftermarket exhaust currently and after dealer servicing they had no problems? or anything by the dealer making some warranty excuse?

If you have modding questions, check out www.e46fanatics.com Great site with tons of info regarding modding. But, I HIGHLY suggest doing a search there since they're less newbie friendly than here.
