I have a 1998 328is manual transmission:
This morning i had turned on my car just fine and didn't move cuz I forgot something in the house, so I turned it off, went back in my house and came back out and restarted the car...
1. The car fired up and the rpms went up to about 1500rpms (like usual when you start the car) and then came back down, it should have stopped at about 650-750rpms in the idle position, but kept going down to 0 and the car shut off.
2. Tried a few times, same thing happened...rpms go up to 1500rpms, then dropped right down to 0 and car shut off.
Well I eventually on the 5th try it started, but it's idling WAY to low...about 450rpms, almost about to stall. I drove it fine, and after a while the rpms maybe idled around 550, which is still too low. But when turn off the car and start it again, it's low, around 450rpms again.
