Weird Problem.!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok. drove back from exam about 9:00pm last night and shot off the car. This morning, i got ready and came down and started the car and the battery light came on and not only that, the car STARTED which i think was weird. But the biggest problem was that MY STEERING WHEEL WAS STIFF AS A ROCK. Would not turn easy. I don't know if some of you have driven cars without Power Steering, but it 5 TIMES!!!!!!!! felt like it. Am not joking. I just pulled up and parked the car and then went and took the campus shuttle to school. HELP GUYS.
Also, my Amp was grounded to my Battery about 4 days ago. Could that be the problem? I can understand the battery but not the Stiff steering.

Almost sounds like the alternator wasn't putting out any juice.

Can an alternator problem make my Steering wheel to feel like am turning the Titanic?

It can if your belts aren't working the power steering pump. More than likely, (now that I fully think about it), it sound more like a belt jumped or broke.

Ok. Vlad please enlighting me a little about this belt thing. So if your Belt what belts? Fan belts? aren't working well, i'll stop the Power Steering from working?

There is one or two belts that normally goes to your alternator, A/C, power steering, water pump, etc. If one belt goes, a couple of things no longer work, like your power steering. This can also cause the battery light to com on, because your alternator is no longer charging the system.

Vlad, i think your on the money men. I just when down and checked and the Big fan ain't spinning. I think it's the belt. However, how am i supposed to find out which belt it is. In other words, what belt am i going to tell the store people that the problem is?

Get both, they're not expensive. If one has gone south, the other can't be far behind. Or just ask for the alternator belt.
