What sound is this?

Hard to tell from the video where the sound is concentrated. I would listen to the compressor. A compressor going bad would sound like metal scraps getting chewed up inside. Something that bad has to be the compressor or a bearing on another accessory...maybe even the alternator. They can still function while the bearing is getting grinded up inside.

Compressor? It's 16 degrees here, trust me, the AC Compressor ain't being touched [hihi]

It's the water pump. My car did the same thing dan (frolf)'s car did.

Water pump bearings went baaaaaaaaaaaaaad.

Check your water pump...could be the bearing wearing out, place a sthetoscope on it and listen for the grinding. Good Luck!
