Which 2000 to 2003 540 to buy?

I am interested in purchasing a 2000 to 2003 540. Which provides the best value? I drove my borther's 2000 540 and fell in love with it. He said that the 2000 models have several significant changes over the previous models and suggested that I purchase a 2000 to 2003 540.

Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated. Thanks

If you like the Angel eyes, then get the '01 or newer models. Other than that the 540i is an excellent car and you will be happy with either years.

Actually, the 2001 or 2002 models and later got a powerboost from 282hp to 290hp. Get a 2001 or later model so you can get the angel eyes and the 290hp version.
