wind damage... carbon hood?

So last night a good wind storm blew a 2 foot roof shingle onto the hood of my car. 2-3 feet of scrapes and scratches resulted. So, with the insurance money I was considering buying a carbon fiber hood. Anyone have any experience with cf hoods? Any brands better then others or ones to stay away from? And how much did you pay? It's a 1997 black 4dr.

carbon fiber hoods don't cruntch in accidents like normal hoods and could get shoved through the windsheild and cause injuries. Perhaps unlikely but scary to me.

ive never had a problem with them unless i bought some brand that no one has heard of or a nopi brand,.,. but ive also driven honda's most of life but i have seen some good looking vis hoods and i highly recomend their stuff Vis makes really good hoods
