Im shopping around for new tires, winter tires... The other day i stepped on the gas just to notice my back trying to outrun my front [8], I still have stock 15 rims... on my 325i. This will be my first winter Ill be driving my bimmer and uhm i drive fast so new tires seems like good idea. I checked on ebay for performance tires, Hankook Ventus HRII H405 what do you guys think of em?( just wondering ) anyway what tires would you guys recommend? michelin? Im also considering getting new rims,Contour Style or BMW M2 Style (68) from aaarims.com ( thanks Wadula for the link ) should i upgrade now? What are the pros of that? sorry for a n00d question... [;)] ( better traction i supose )

Thanks

Always ran Gisleveds on my Peugeots (forgive spelling-a long time for both tires and cars) And they were great. Switched to studded junk tires for my Miata for a few years-liked studs.
Thinking about running 4 studded Nokias this year on BMW.
I probably didn't help much, but have you checked the Tire Rack?
Someone posted here awhile ago that with ABS it is a good idea to run the same tires on all 4 corners-makes sense!
Good luck!

For what it's worth... Miata site says not to load trunk down for extra traction. If the back wants to swing around it will only be encouraged to do so with the extra weight ( physics ) I understand we have pretty good weight distribution so why play with it?
Just thinking out loud, none of this is etched in stone. (recently have to watch my AS*)

for winter season i use the black steel rim, no hub caps and michelin alpin sport. they are 195 / 50 R 15. Max. speed allowed is 118 mph. that should be fast enough, right?

as far as ebay, hankook or who ever outthere is concerned, stay away from that. tires are the only thing that keep you on the road, don't save at the wrong point. get something with quality. at least my guess.
