Well this post has sat dead over in wheels, tires and suspension since I wrote it, maybe you've all moved to 17, 18 and 19 inch?

What's your recommended tire size and make for a 16 x 7 rim? Bought four #45 e46 rims as replacements for my 15's. Those have new Pilots, 225/55, on them which also make me wonder why I bought rims?

A very good size for an E36 325i is 225/50/16, as it has the same diameter as the stock 205/60/15, and was the factory sport package size.

I like Yoko AVS ES 100s for a value/performance tire.

i had predecessor to the yoko es100s - the yoko avs intermediates. they were really really good tires - stuck like peanut butter to the top of your mouth. I also had kumho ecsta Mx - the BEST tires ever. provides the same grip as the bridgeston pole position s03s in the dry - not as good in the wet. Definitely a good tire.

I personally like 17 inch and was a great upgrade for me from the stock 15 inch. Had the money for 18 inch but with the bad roads out here, was not a good idea for me. 18 inch do look good though. The 17 inch fill it up pretty good. I got a nice deal on a tire and rim package shipped to my door, mounted and balanced. Been real happy with them.[thumb]

As far as style, only you can decide the rim that is your favorite. Rim and tire upgrades are not cheap so make sure it is something that you look into and find what makes you happy. I chose a stock look from the E46. They are very easy to clean which is a bonus! The stock E36 rims were a pain to clean.
