ahhh, i have a 328iS pretty much bone stock, and i smoke Mustang GT's (with the shitty V8). however, i get my ass handed to me by Mustang Cobras.

if you are talking about a GT or the V6 model, then a 325 should hold its own.

I saw a new Saleen Mustang at my local golf club the other day, nothing really special. When the new Mustang came out TopGear tested it and said the new Mustang drives like the old 1960 one, SLOW.

What year is your car frolf?

JUST MAKING SURE THE 325I CAN SPANK MUSTANGS. [spank] WHEN MY BROTHER USED TO DRIVE MY CAR, WE WOULD RACE A LIGHT MODDED MUSTANG GT AND BEAT IT. OH AND I LOVE THAT TURBO BUTTON THINGY UNDER THE GAS PEDAL, WHATS IT CALLED? WELL I NEED A NEW OXYGEN SENSOR AND STILL THE "TURBO BUTTON" GIVES THE OL' 325I ENOUGH NUTS TO SPIN THE TIRES PRETTY EASILY. [bmwdance]

anywho, the 1999-2004? Mustang GT's 0-60 is 5.5, where as my car is between 6.2 and 6.4, their 1/4mile is 14.1, where as mine is 14.7

this tells me the three GT's i've raced were shit drivers, but that can make a .6sec 1/4mile advantage slip away realllll fast. I raced a friend of mine in his 1966 Chevelle with the 427, thats right the 427!!!!! and i smoked him. he dumped the clutch a tad to high and i nailed my launch perfectly and totally dicked on him.

I think the question is silly. These cars aren't even in the same class. Not even the same ball park. Bimmers are about more than speed. They are refined style, class, and luxury. Oh yeah, and kick ass handling. I swear my car pivots, not turns. It almost feels as if all 4 wheels are turning sometimes. I don't think a Mustang can handle like a bimmer. Especially when it is 8 years old like mine. A mustang in 8 years is usually hanging on for dear life. My bimmer drives like it is brand new. No rattles, sqeeks, or rough ride. Smooth as butter. Compare a bimmer to a mustang over rough winding roads and see who wins.

Which Would Win In A Drag Race Stock? Modded? Thanks
That was the question folks!!!

In a DRAG race it "SHOULD" be the mustang.....more pony's under the hood(pun intended). But like an earlier poster said a Drag race is more about hitting your launch correctly and hitting your shift points.....actually now that I think about it NFSU 1 & 2 actually kinda got that right!

Modded brings in a whole new bag of possible scenarios: Turboed or Supercharged??? Stang with Ram Air, what size motor, tires, exhaust, etc, etc.....
Come on help me out here!@Chesty Bonds!!!
