One of the coolant lines ruptured and sprayed coolant all over the driver's side of my 325is, and now my car won't start. It worked fine after i got the coolant line back on, but later that day it wouldn't start. All the electronics work and the dash lights come on, but it wont do anything when i turn the key. It also reset the SI lights and my scan tool won't work either. The car did start and run fine when i started it under compression though.

Give us a little more info. Is the car cranking. Is it trying to start, coughing back firing. My guess is that there is a short in the ignition wiring, or in the wiring for the injectors. If it isn't cranking I would check the starter wiring. Good luck.

The car doesn't even crank. It seems like the ignition solenoid isn't even opening. My guess was the ignition wiring at first, but then why did the SI lights reset and the scan tool not work?

check all fuses bud. there is nothing electronic that would affect starting on the driver's side other than fuses. keep us updated. if fuses are ok, spend the cash for the diagnostics

the started, which the selonoid is attached to, is on the drivers side, may have baked/fried the starter selonoid.
