323ci service reset tool

Does anyone know where to locate the tool?

I have managed to borrow a service reset tool from a friend. He is able to set his on a 525 as the porthole is accessible/visible from underneath the bonnet. Does anyone know how to use this tool on a 323ci, 2001. ?? As I can not locate the port.

i think the 01 have the "port" underneith the dash i guess yours is a right had driver uses a different plug. I think european models should be simalar in some ways with the us models. you need an extra wire to hook up to the tool look at that web site i gave you you will see what is involved..If it has the port it should be a round object that has a cap on it will be on the side were the passanger front end of the engine bay i think could be backwards on right hand driving cars

have located the port in side the car on the right hand side bmw must be trying to hide it thanks for the help
