Thanks Wadula,
But I will take Carcus up on the chip on e-bay I will even bid up to 50.00 bucks.
If I win it... I will give you my honest opinion if I notice any difference what so ever.
I bought my car new in 94 it has only 48,300 miles on it. In 2 months I am giving it
to my 16yr old daughter. As far as needing muscle in a car, Thats what my 1970
442 is for. Can you say BIG BLOCK? Most kids today dont even know what torque
feels like.
Don't get all bent out of shape, it is just a chip and I am nothing close to a BMW God. And yes, I know what a BIG BLOCK is, I am not 16 and like my muscle cars also. Hopefully you get the chip, dyno it before and after and hook us all up with some true data. I am not slamming you at all either. Sometimes people get WAY bent out of shape over little things. You have to understand, it gets pretty old day in and day out, HEY HOW MUCH HP WILL A CAI GET ME!!!!! HEY WHAT WILL A CHIP DO FOR ME!!!! WOW, JUST INSTALLED IT, FEELS FAST!!!! Alot of the posts are helpful, but seems most are getting into a rut. Guess we need a FAQ so the questions are not asked over and over again. Again, nothing against you, I found ya a chip cheap, you want it, have at it. Worse comes to worse, you are out 50 bucks. Bury the axe. If someone goes out and gets some dyno "INDEPENDENT" dyno tests before and after...I WILL EAT CROW.
Making HP in these cars is not cheap, not like a small or big block. As a father, that is pretty cool giving the car to your daughter. Nice safe car for her and am sure she will like it.
Again, this post was not ment to bend anyone out of shape over a friggin chip
Chips and programming work with alot of aftermarket mods, headers, cams and turbos. My point is on a NA BMW, not going to give you much. BTW, the HP claim was what the guy was posting on Ebay....not my own claim. I say under 5HP.
