Active Autowerke Question

Hi guys.

I have months looking for a DME upgrade for my European model '97 328i. Conforti's Shark Injector works only on US cars. Active Autowerke changes the DME software but I don't know how good it is.

Know someone of you if this AA software offers all they say?
I'll be pleased if at least know any comment someone did heard about this matter. The issue is simple, I live in Colombia and next week I'll be in Miami, living in Colombia I can't be visiting AA to do adjustments to the software.

in the case that they COULD, reprogram your euro ecu, i'd say they are probably, imho the best bmw tuner in the us, if not maybe worldwide. dinan eqpmnt is a little pricey but is also worth the trouble if you have the time and cash. but personally i'd go to AA. if i had a chance to go back and buy all my performance mods over again it would be all active autowerke!!!! think about it this way, they're gains are listed as "5hp gain!!" or "4.3hp gain!!". not "20hp promised!!!". their stuff gives real power and i would believe anyone who claims a smaller increase rather than the larger.

one of the best tuners in my opinion. i am a local from miami so i have the advantage of being able to visit active all the time. but i see cars from all over the world in there. alot of time there are cars from germany in there. think about that. people from germany ship there german cars over to the US so that active can do the performance work on them. thats got to say something. If they cant do the work on your car, then i dont know of anyone who can.

I have heard with the AA chip that it has to be soldered in. If this is true, then thats kinda a pain, but otherwise there stuff is real good. Just read this article, it will explain all

Some of the fastest E36's are from AA.Intake/Chip/Exhaust

i never heard that before.... when i asked them they just said that i'd have to send in my dme and they'd reprogram it there. the only downfall is that you'd be without your car for like a week, and you can't reprogram it back to stock yourself if you wanted to.

This is what they told me by e-mail, they never talk about replace the eeprom's, but this is not the first time I heard about it.
