Just wanted to ask some of the experts a question. I currently have a 530i. I love the combination of power and practicality of it. I get approx 26mpg on it. That is from the computer reading in the car and manual calculations. I am considernig adding a X5 3.0. I don't forsee any relief in gas prices, so I was wondering what everyone was getting on their X5 computers as far as gas mileage. Thanks!

my parents just filled up their 4.4 for $67 i think it gets a hair under 17mpg, but i dont' spend much time in there, so i can't tell ya for sure. x3 prolly gets better milage due to lesser weight.
also i'd wait until next model year, when they drop the new 3.0 in there. you get more power, and better gas milage.
but if you don't see any relief in gas prices, i'd stay away from anything resembling a truck this side of the hybrid.
