There are some threads talking about a "secondary air pump" what's that? where is located? I think I know my M52 and I never saw a pump or something that seems like a pump in the engine bay. (then, must be a primary one)

Perhaps cus my car is an european 328i. [scratch]

On my '97 328i, the Secondary Air Pump is located [When you are facing the car] on the far left rear corner of the engine bay. It's immediately next to the diagnostic port. The pump has a tube about one and half inch diameter attached and another pipe is attached to the vavle.

As I though, it's present only in the EU version, I think it's there for ambiental regulatory reasons.
