Ok-car is warmed up (as is the Las Vegas, NV temperature)and I am sitting at a light and decide to waste another 3.41 a gallon buy turning on the Air Conditioner. Woooooosh RPMs drop then go back up, but there seems to be a significant drag.

Here in Fort Worth it gets warm enough to run my a/c. And yes the engine does drag down when the a/c compressor kicks in when sitting at a stop light. But it recovers fine. A/C is cold, and no appreciable loss in mgp, not enough to put up with 100 degree days.

I always notice a drop in power with the a/c on, it's normal. Every car I've been in (save V8 trucks and such) lose some power due to the a/c compressor since it'd a direct drag on the engine.

Very true, and we are talking about a 4 cylinder here right?
