When I bought the car, the guy left the Bilstein Touring struts on, with model VNE-4421. They have right now approx 30k miles on them. I suspect one was bottomed out - some bubbly sound. I thinbk Bilsteins have a lifetime warranty on them - but they need proof of purchase, and I lost contact with the seller of the car.

Has anyone bought Bilstein Touring struts that have 30k miles now, and do you still have a receipt? Or if you got them from AutoZone, they just need the phone number to match in a computer to process under warranty program. Any help is really appreciated! [wave]

Bistein shot

I just installed some 2 weeks ago myself. If it were my car, I wouldn't do the strut on one side only... Even if the other side is ok, at 30k, I wonder if it would perform as well as the otherside. Might not be a ride difference that you can notice, but if each have their own stiffness, it will negate the purpose of having nice struts.

I got all 4 for $309 from BAV auto. I bet you could even get just the struts for cheap. Ask Shox.com to give you a quote, and then check with bav auto. Don't be afraid to ask bav auto to price match. Beware of the deadly back order though... takes FOREVER

As far as changing them, it was easy...

Just my 2 cents....good luck!
