Anyone bought fog lights on ebay?

Fog lights?

I need to replace my foglights, has anyone ever bought them from e-bay, there are a few firms that sell them on e-bay on aregualr basis for around $80 a pair (I want the OEM style ones, not Euro look), interested to hear people's thoughts? Also how diffiuclt and how do you go about changing them? Thanks!

Hi there,
Just an FYI, I boought the chrome/clear "Euro" look style. HATEEE THEM!!! the design of the buld shade inside is diferant and lets only about 1/2 the amount of llight through comapared to the OEM design. Just a heads up to anyone reading.

never bought foglights on e-bay, but I have had good luck with just about all BMW part purchases through e-bay. Just make sure you ask any questions you have before you buy and try and bid only with people with 100% feedback (or damn near close).

I bought my replacement from Bavarian Autosport (http://www.bavauto.com/) Came with bulb, lens, and bezel. Me thinks it was around $80. $20 cheaper than the dealership and the one from the dealership didn't have the mounting bezel.

Chief, how hard was it to change the lights? How is it done? Any advice you could give would be appreciated. Thanks.

It truly is very easy. You insert a 12 -15 inch screwdriver into the 3rd louver in the lower grill, depending on which side you move the screwdriver to the oposite side to release the "tab" wing. the light will pop out. The bezel is self evident for removal. The installation of the light is the reverse.
