Guys,

Any of you tried/use Tornado Fuel Saver on your car?
Does it really increase the MPG? Or is it merely perceived increase in MPG ?
I am considering buying... but I am not convinced that they really work...

Let me be the first and last to say "ITS LIES"

Do a bit of a search of the forum and you will see that everyone says the same, don't buy it and don't try it, just save that money for some gas ;)

Yeah, my Chi-town boys representin'!!! Ok, all kidding aside, one of my friends tried one of these on his 97 LX450 and said he did not notice a difference at all. If I remeber correctly, the box also said that the Tornado-thingie also boosted HP, too. He didn't do any dyno-tests or anything, but he said he couldn't even tell he installed the thing. Then again, his truck was shaped like a huge brick, and was underpowered with the I-6.

I saw the infomercial a few years back myself, and thought it was a joke...

We had a thread here earlier this year about the Tornado. Bottom line - it's useless. Google for "tornado fuel test" or "tornado fuel review" and you will find a number of tests by consumer reporters, TV stations, etc. All of them got NO benefit, except a thinner wallet.

Yup, and why would you put something in the path of the airflow in a bmw-designed air intake? I know you can make the intake better...but i think you see the point.

If an automobile manufacturer could get just 2 extra MPG on the window sticker for 60 bucks, they would install them at the factory in a heartbeat.
