ASC DSC what year?

Hey,
im wondering when ASC or DSC became an option in e36s?

PS whats the difference between em?

ahhh, in 1994 it became an option, in 1996 it became standard. however, from 94-95 if you ordered an e36 with ASC and the sport package that meant you could not have an LSD. and in 96 they discontinued the lsd on all e36's except the m3

could anyone explain the meaning of LSD, ASC, DSC?

lsd = limited slip differential
asc = automatic stability control
dsc = dynamic stability control

i'm probably wrong on the first word of asc and dsc. but they are the same concept, a yaw control to keep you in check when the tail gets too happy.
