Can anyone help?

This evening i was playing under the bonnet while the engine was running.
I tried to rev the engine by pulling the cable of what i thought was the accelerator pedal. The engine did not rev and this confused me. I think i have now just found out that it was the secondary throttle cable which i think has something to do with the ABS?![[duh]](/images/smilies/icon_smile_duh.gif "I'm With Stupid [duh]")
Anyway, since doing this my ASC light is constantly on.
Is this because of the secondary throttle cable i moved? Would this cause a problem with a sensor or am i barking up the wrong tree?
It could of course be a consequence that the light is on after doing this. I did nothing else while under the bonnet.
