i just got my car back from the body shop it was in an accident.. they had to change the tranny cooler in addition to a bunch more stuff.. the morning after i got it back i got in an went to take off.. and the tranny seemed like it studdered slipped then caught.

I drove it the rest of the weekend and it didn't do it again but it seems like it shifts different.. i cant put my fingetr on it and i may be imagining it but it seems like it shifts different like too soon or something.. any way i am going to brig it back to the shop today and ask them to look at it... but before i do it i want to check the fluid level that leads me to my question how in the F*ck do you check the fluid on this thing... its not in the same place as my 535is so how do you do it?? i heard these cars are mor intolerent to low fliud levels than earlier models and i hope thats all that it is.. any other idears will be appreciated

I had a similar problem. I replaced the trans oil cooler as well.
My guess is that you are low on fluid. When they replaced the AT oil cooler, some fluid drains during that replacement.

How to check the AT fluid level:
Put it on jacks. The fluid must be around 80 to 115 degrees Farenheit when checking the level. Start the car. Put it in Neutral. Go under the car, open the Trans fluid FILLER plug.
Be sure that you are opening the FILLER plug, NOT the drain plug. When you open, the fluid should be barely at that level. Meaning, if you pour any more fluid, it should come out of the fill plug hole.

If you want to pour more fluid in there, you will need to buy a fluid pump (less than $15 or so).

Hope I didn't confuse you more.
Good luck.
