I am going to convert my automatic tranny to a manual. I know that I need the transmition, pedal cluster, shifter assembly, and clutch assembly. But is there anything else?? I can't find anything on the web like a step by step procces on it or anything. But I am pretty sure That I have all the parts. Anyone one know anything that is missing?? Or know where an online gude is? I heard of this one guy that lives in my area, and I have called him so many times and left messages, but he never returns my calls. Well he worked for BMW Racing and specialized in e36 M3's. He knows them inside and out. And I heard that he does conversions for people, but darned if i can't get in touch with him. Well if anyone has any suggestions please leme know. Thanks alot.

I have all the parts lined up. The shifter, tranny, driveshaft, pedals, and other misc. parts. Including the clutch. I think some guy that works at BMW of Towson is going to help with the install. I am getting all the parts from a 325 convertable, and it is all the parts to do the swap the guy says. He has a 325 w/ an M3 motor in it. He alos did the manual swap, and he would help me out in any way possible. I am Getting all of the parts for $1,000.00-$1,200.00. Which is a freaking steal!!! I'll let you guys know how everything goes.

Yea, so am I. Im planing on doing the same thing, but i dont know if its worth it. I thought about selling the car and buying a new one, but then the tax is gonna be at least 500$ + you always loose money if you`re selling. But definitively if you have the parts and everything then its a great idea, Id love my car to be stick.
