I like a copper top better than a plat. plugs. The only time I would use those plugs again would be if I were to upgrade the ignition system. I have used the plat. 4 plugs before and not really noticed a difference. Just use the plugs that are recommended for your car. Hell the Bosch copper plugs for my M3 are 12.95 each. While the plat.4 plugs are around 6.00 each. Whether you choose plat. to copper, now that is left up to you. Promise me than you will use Bosch no matter what!!!!

Woha, 12.95 each, why so much? Pelican will sell you the Bosch Plat 2 tip or 4 tip for $5.00 each for a 97 M3! I just replaced the Bosch Plat. 2's in the 318is for $4.95 ea. at Pelican. The car is running a lot smoother now, course I had over 75k on the last set...oops!

For some reason you can get the Bosch Super for 4.95. The ones that are put in the engine from the factory are also a Bosch plug, but they are not plat. I only paid 5.00 a plug, because a friend of mine gets them for wholesale. I could not believe the cost either. (12.95) [cheers]

Getting one of the bosch 4 tip plugs makes no sense if it'll last just as long as a regular platinum plugs. The electrode is the part of the plug that usually goes bad first. Given, there is a better chance for a spark with 4 tips, but i have the regular platinum plugs in my 88, and never had a misfire caused by the plugs.

I have the 4 tip Bosch platinum plugs and they work pretty good. I heard bad things about them, that they are too hot for the engine and that kinda stuff. I don't know, had them since before September and work pretty good, I should probably just check and see how they look. I didn't want to get the 4-tip ones but it was too late, I had the car in for a total check up and all that crap including an oil change, and some other things (paid for by the dealer I bought the car from) and the mechanic put in the 4-tip ones, I found out after he put in like 4 of them and said that I want the 2 tip ones but he said these are better. I said they are too hot, and his response was, not for this car, so I let it slide.
