Bluetooth with BMW Assist

When is BMW going to resolve the bluetooth phone support issue - does anyone have any inside info on what the problem is (aside from the fact it doesn't work with BMW Assist) and how they will resolve it?

I've told the dealer they can rip out the BMW Assist module as far as I'm concerned - handsfree mobile support is an important feature for me. Any other opinions?

I know that there is an issue to the bluetooth and BMW assist, to what extent the problem is, still hasn't been fully explained, (at least to my satisfaction). The last that I've read/heard, there is supposedly a "fix" in the works that should be available in the next three to four months.

Internal Memo

I was shown an internal memo that said the issue was being worked on and was assured that any fix would be available if I purchased a vehicle before the fix was available.
