hey everyone!

i'm needing some help, although i have two e34's. The only one i've driven on the road is my 525 as the 520 is in bits in the garage :) Anyway, having a problem, fitted 18" wheels and to me it sits way too high at the front... i'm scared to lower it all round because the back wheels are large and close to the arches. How much can i lower it, has anyone had this experience and solved it?

front 225 40 r18
rear 265 35 r18

please help me! arghhh it's doing my head in looking like that

18 are too large for an E34, you should go with some wide 17's. There are a few people with 17x10's in the rear and 17x8.5 or 9 in the front, lowered with no rubbing. 18's are just too big.

Hmm, i see. Well bad news, it already has 18's on it. Many M5's have the same M Parallel spoke wheels as my model, but they seem to have a better front end suspension set up.

I've been told i can lower it 30mm, but i really think 30mm is too much at the rear. :-(

Jesus christ 265's at the rear. nice!

You might be able to lower it about 30 mm. I could see that. Do you have any springs/shock/coilovers in mind?

Id recomend H&R sports with bilstein sp or Koni Adjustables if you just want springs/shocks.

Most will lower it about 1.25 in the front and 1 inch rear. Some springs that are slightly less agressive are the Racing Dynamics springs. They only lower it about 1 inch front and 3/4 inch rear. Dinan also has a suspension setup but it BARELY lowers your car.

And roll your fenders! That will help a lot.

Good Luck!

Planning on some rock climbing with that thing??? Geesh get it dropped!!! [:p]

I can't believe people think cars look good with huge wheels and stock ride height.
