Hey,
my car is a 94 e36 4dr, yesterday i got F@#%@#% UP by some guy, I can buy a car from the insurance company, another bmw e36 with the back crashed, what year can i go up to? i want to be able to swap the parts from my old car to the new one.. I think the 97s came out with a new body style ( a little bit changed ) but not sure...

I think it's still the same body style. The only difference is the bumper paints and the interior. Besides that, the body is the same. Hope this helps and hope am right. I think i am though. good luck.

you are correct kenny2g, an e36 sedan is an e36 sedan (not counting m3s) and yes, side skirts and diffussers were paintin 96+

M3 steering wheel, emblems, seats....cosmetic things.

Hmm good for me, so could i take parts from my 325 94 and use em in a 97+ m3? or 97+ 325? especialy the back or the doors? Im thinking of just buying a m3 from an insurance company, either a theft recovery or back/side hit. My car has only the front crashed so i figured Ill just have a project for the long winter nights.....
