Brake light problem...

ok my obc has been going off and on for the brake light circut. i have narrowed it down to the high level brake light (the light in the back window) because its not on. i have the spoiler with the brake light in it, and so the light bulb is out of the light assembly in the dash, and the spoiler light is wired through it (understand?). this way the light in the window doesnt come on, but the spoiler does.

i have never had problenms till now. it was put in aftermarket, so the wiring was a little ghetto but still workable. i soldered the wiring the right way, and reassembled it yesterday, and it worked. it stopped working again last night though. i went out today with my volt meter, and have now realized that there is no voltage at the light assembly in the window. sooo....to the wiring diagrams i went. everything comes through the check control unit, and there is no fuse. this could mean that the check control unit is messed up, or that there is a short in the wiring some where. those are the only two possibilities i can come up with, and have no idea how to solve them. all i know is that i am sick of seeing my obc warning.

can anyone help?

Dude, I kinda have the same problem and I have a spoiler installed with light in it too btw but I think it has nothing to do with a spoiler. What I noticed is that the obc warning comes on mostly when it's wet and rainy outside. I did some search on internet and found that this is a common problem for E36, when it's wet then the moisture can condensate and cause a short. I don't care much about it anyway. BTW, does anybody know the way to turn this warnings off.
